A. Unfortunately, we have not yet found a way to print most graphics and all photos onto a good quality product on a dark background. However, some graphics can be printed onto a white vinyl type material, then die cut, and heat pressed onto a shirt of any color. This is a three step process that uses more time and material, therefore the cost is higher. We also require a minimum order of 12 each for colored shirts.
Q. When people say sublimation, what does that really mean? A. The word sublimation means to turn from a solid to a gas and then back to a solid without ever becoming a liquid. When a sublimation dye is heated, it turns into a colored gas, penetrates the surface of the substrate it is dying and then becomes a solid particle again in material it printed and at no time was it a liquid. Q. How do I wash my t-shirt? A. Shirts should be washed inside out in cold water with like colors. Tumble dry on low to medium heat. Q. How is my privacy protected? A. We value your business, and your trust. Therefore, we will not sell, rent, nor give away any e-mail address to other businesses. The reason we request your e-mail address is so we will be able to send you information regarding your order, (order confirmation, shipping and tracking information). Q. How long does it take to get my order? A. Our normal processing time is generally from one to three weeks. This depends on several factors - first and foremost the size and complexity of the order. Second, the time of season and order load. In any case, you will be able to specify your need by date, and we will let you know if that is possible.
Q. Do you sell products wholesale? A. If you are interested in purchasing our products wholesale please e-mail us.
Q. Will the colors on the mug/t-shirt match the colors on my computer? A. There is no way to ensure a perfect match of the colors between the item and your computer. All computer monitors represent colors differently unless they have been professionally calibrated. This means that there may be slight differences in the color.
Q. Are your mugs dishwasher / microwave safe? A. Our 11 oz ceramic mugs are both dishwasher and microwave safe. However, we do recommend hand washing of the mugs to ensure long life of the vibrant colors.
Q. Are your mugs UV resistant? A. Yes, our mugs are UV resistant. We buy only the best UV resistant mugs and use UV resistant ink as well. That being said, your mug will hold its' color best if not left outside in the sun.
Q. Can you do bulk orders? Can I get a discount? A. Yes, we do bulk orders of 12 or more. Refer to our bulk order pricing page.
Q. What do I need to do to scan my image? A. If you do not have a scanner, you can visit a local copy center or photo developing store to scan your picture, or check with your friends.
Q. What size should I make my image ? A. If you are designing your own wraparound mug, your image should be a maximum 3 inches high x 7 inches wide for an 11 oz mug. For a Tee Shirt, the maximum size is 8 inches high x 11 inches wide. The resolution should be 200 dpi or greater.
Q. What file size and type should my image be? A. The larger the file size (resolution), the more information available for the printer. We prefer to work with images at 200 dpi or better. This produces the best image quality. The best file types are .jpg (JPEG), .bmp, and .png. We use PhotoShop so if you want to send a .psd or compatible file, that is okay too.
Q. What process do you use to make your mugs? A. We use dye-sublimation to imprint our mugs. In this process the ink is forced into the coating of the mug using high pressure and high temperature. This process puts the image below the surface of the mug. This allows for much more durability than other mugs. The image will not be removable even with a razor blade.
Q. What is the difference between left-handed and right-handed mugs? A. Yes, all mugs are the same, however, the orientation of the image and text on a standard mug can be reversed so that the picture is facing you no matter which hand you drink with.
